"Daydreams"   Når modeugen snart skydes i gang, bliver det uden de mange små modevirksomheder, som har set sig nødsaget til at lukke som følge af finanskrisen. Det relativt nye fashionbrand MaleneMarron er dog ikke en af disse virksomheder, og vil under modeugen både være at finde på modemessen og catwalken.   Bag brandet MaleneMarron står den bornholmske designer Malene Sommer, som for andet år i træk deltager i den københavnske modeuge. Mens mange nye, upcoming designere og mindre modevirksomheder slikker deres sår ovenpå lukninger og konkurser, går det godt hos Malene Sommer, som alene driver virksomheden. Hendes sidste show var en succes og resulterede i omtale i en lang række danske og udenlandske medier herunder Costume, Eurowoman og Vogue og på modeblogs.   Ved dette års modeuge præsenterer Malene Sommer sin seneste kollektion og de dame- og herre-styles, der vil være at finde i butikkerne i foråret 2010. Kollektionen går under titlen ”Daydreams”.   “Jeg bor i København, men har studie på Bornholm, hvor jeg er født og opvokset, så jeg pendler frem og tilbage. Denne sæson har jeg ladet mig inspirere af disse to verdener og kontrasterne mellem det afslappede ø-liv og storbyens puls. Når jeg er i København, drømmer jeg mig til øen, og når jeg er på øen, drømmer jeg mig væk til byen og det pulserende liv, der følger med, og heraf kommer navnet til kollektionen også”, siger Malene Sommer.   I SS10 kollektionen har Malene Sommer arbejdet med farverne fra de to verdner og inkorporeret farverne fra de grålige klipper, det hvide sand, brostenene og bylivets nattehimmel i sine designs. Farverne mikses med kvalitetsmaterialer som uld, silke og bomuld. The designer, Malene Sommer, finds her inspiration from the deepness of yoga and the dancers motion, pride and tightness, but it is clearly interpreted by a fashion designer.
It is clothes made for both a day at work or a night out. You can easily combine the styles in her collection with your existent wardrobe

The materials are very carefully chosen and there is no compromise when it comes to quality of the fabrics. It is soft materials shaped for the body in a combination of clean cutting and sculptural draping. All prints are handmade from the designer Malene Sommer and printed on The school of art in Glasgow.
Wool, Silk and cotton are the main materials.
